’Black’ is not a singular perspective [Digital Installation (Unbuilt)]

How would you respond to the phrase,

‘live out of your imagination, not just your history?

’ New Ethinincies : Beyond the yes/no, right/wrong, us/them, black/white.
‘Black’ is not a singular perspective - the project is speculative installation which highlights the true plural narratives of ‘black’ British people using CGI and motion imagery. The film will be a collaboration of sound and architecture to act as a contemporary celebration and reiteration of the ‘black’ diversity through the medium of digital architecture. The installation seeks to make an audience question their boundaries, what if we touched, pushed and broke existing ideas and ‘rules’ and allow ourselves to see the real on-ground complexities that race truly has.

The Sound will be collection of diverse ‘black’ architectural experiences overlaid on a digital exhibition-like-architectural installation that is intent on ‘carving out ‘black’ narratives that has a real agency, nuance and contemporaneity free from racial binaries from the simple racial binaries of 'white' and 'non-white'.
